BAR SUPERVISOR

The Great Escape Game is the next level of immersive experience! Here friends, families or work colleagues take on the clock as they attempt to escape by solving Crystal Maze style puzzles. And after this, many of them will want a drink to celebrate success or drown their sorrows… this is where you can help! Initially you must, support the manager with the day to day operation of all beverage service for the escape games’ bar. Helping to drive and improve product and service standards across the team. Furthermore, the Bar Supervisor will help with the delivery of high quality beverage service, including cocktails to maximise revenue through up-selling, service standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Manager with the effective smooth operation of the bar on a daily basis
Opening and closing the bar area
Ensure that the relevant procedures are followed correctly and securely in line with cash handling/ cashing-up procedures
Ordering of stock, understanding that the amount of beverage related stock ordered must meet business demands
Maintain and prepare the corporate and bar areas
Ensure that communication procedures put in place by the Bars Manager are adhered to e.g. filling in the handover diary at the end of a shift on a day to day basis in order for the department to run smoothly
Report all bar related feedback, comments or criticism from guests to the Manager
Stay fully aware of the requirements of all liquor licensing legislation and the property’s Entertainment license, and help to support the Bars Manager in ensuring that all bar staff work in accordance with these laws
Ensure that the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act are adhered to at all times and regulations of licensing are visible on all bars set up throughout the establishment
Training and effectively motivating the team
Help drive for results through target setting projects by ensuring that these are well communicated and actively encouraged to all bar tenders and food & beverage assistants and that staff achievements are reviewed and recorded regularly

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
A personal alcohol license is very advantageous, but not essential
We are looking for someone who has a contagious demeanor and passion for providing an outstanding level of service that is personalised, confident and professional.
Exceptional communication skills are essential
You will need previous experience within a fast paced bar environment and ideally have used an online booking system before
Previous cocktail training
Ideally you will be focused, with an eye for detail and the ability to think on your feet and keep calm in all situations
