BAR SUPERVISOR

The Great Escape Game is the next level of immersive experience! Here friends, families or work colleagues take on the clock as they attempt to escape by solving Crystal Maze style puzzles. And after this, many of them will want a drink to celebrate success or drown their sorrows… this is where you can help!

Initially you must, support the sites General Manager with the day to day operation of all beverage service for the escape games’ bar. Helping to drive and improve product and service standards across the team.

Furthermore, the Bar Supervisor will help with the delivery of high quality beverage service, including cocktails to maximise revenue through up-selling, service standards and controlling waste.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the effective smooth operation of the bar on a daily basis
Training staff to high standards
Being confident to host and introduce players
Ensure that the billing procedures related to charging beverage are adhered
Be able to understand the ordering of beverage related stock for the department, understanding that the amount of beverage related stock ordered must meet business demands
Maintain and prepare the corporate area
Ensure that communication procedures put in place are adhered to
Report all bar related feedback, comments or criticism from guests
Deliver drinks experiences
Stay fully aware of the requirements of all liquor licensing legislation and the property’s Entertainment license, and help to support the Bars Manager in ensuring that all bar staff work in accordance with these laws
Ensure that the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act are adhered to at all times and regulations of licensing are visible on all bars set up throughout the hotel
Help drive for results through target setting projects by ensuring that these are well communicated and actively encouraged to all bar-tenders and food & beverage assistants and that staff achievements are reviewed and recorded regularly

The Ideal Candidate:
A personal alcohol license is very advantageous but not essential
We are looking for someone with a natural elegance and passion for providing an outstanding level of service that is personalised, confident and calm
Exceptional communication skills are essential
You will need previous experience within a fast paced Bar environment and ideally have used an online booking system before
Has previous had Cocktail Training
You must also have experience in food handling and allergens
An outgoing, friendly and positive personality is a must alongside the natural ability to be a great team player
Ideally you will be focused, with an eye for detail and the ability to think on your feet and keep calm in all situations
Happy to be cross trained in other areas of the business
