Royal Armouries Agents have discovered an anomaly that appears to be affecting objects within the museum.
They have travelled in time and space to mythical realms to discover each object’s alternate history, but to date none of our agents have returned. Fortunately, each agent managed to send a transmission back to base before they lost contact. These messages are located in the museum galleries close to the affected collection pieces. We believe the messages will lead us to discover what happened and help return our Agents to us. So now we need your help. Do you have what it takes to find our Agents? This world and others depend on it!
You’ll undertake a boss battle (30 mins) followed by a treasure trail (20-30 mins) through the museums to discover more about the artefacts and weapons used in the game.

Crossbow Challenge is managed by our expert team. Once in the range visitors will receive guidance and full instructions on how to operate the crossbow. As these are real crossbows, we ask that children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult.
Get your bolts directly at the range, situated on floor 3. Each purchase of 8 bolts is priced at £8.
Please be aware that during peak times, there might be a wait of up to an hour. To avoid a queue and visit between 10am to 11:30am.

- Throughout the museum, all children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 and over) at all times.
- The game is recommended for 8+. Children under 5 are not permitted to enter the escape room.
- Many children will enjoy the experience, but please be aware there are moments of darkness inside the room and the game contains replica weapons that are used as part of the experience.

This is a unique way to explore the museum, the children were engaged throughout and we’re really excited to find the ‘secret room’, using the weapons to defeat the alien really tied the day together perfectly! Brilliant day all round!

I didn’t really know what to expect, but armed with a special map we navigated around the breathtaking galleries and artifacts, this was a really clever and enjoyable way to explore the site. We were greeted at the door and ended the final 15 minutes at the end, where we got the use the weapons... we’d been wanting to do that since the moment we’d arrived!

We were delighted to find that they had partnered with The Great Escape Game, as we have completed numerous of their rooms at their city centre location. The RA/ID escape room lasts around 30 minutes, with a 20-30 minute treasure trail around the museum. The RA/ID experience all together, generally lasts an hour.
The RA/ID escape room is suitable for players aged 10 and above. While the treasure trail element involves some walking, lifts are available to ensure access to all floors.
One to four players are permitted to participate in the RA/ID escape room at one time.
The Crossbow Challenge is an optional extra that can be added to your RAID escape room experience at The Royal Armouries in Leeds. It’s a thrilling live-fire activity where you’ll be given 8 real crossbow bolts to test your aim on a purpose-built range inside the museum.
Led by the Royal Armouries’ expert team, you’ll receive full instruction before stepping up to the line. Whether you’re competing with friends or going solo, it’s a fun and unique way to extend your adventure after (or before) the escape room and treasure trail.
