FULL-TIME/PART-TIME – SHEFFIELD
We are looking for someone to help apply polish to our new concept room, you will need to have the technical know-how and a quick wit to help debug & add small feature tweaks as we undergo the full testing cycle with the view to making the role more permanent in the future.
The Company:
The Great Escape Game is a multi-award winning escape game that was founded in 2015. The Great Escape Game creates a range of immersive adventures, where people can engage in real life escapism, set out with a goal to unravel a narrative by solving a series of puzzles. Think Crystal Maze meets the story telling, narrative driven context of a video game.
Position Core Role:
The Great Escape Game are looking for an electronic puzzle maker to create new Arduino based puzzles for current room upgrades, new games and other projects.
From concept to creation, the ideal candidate will be able to take the puzzles from brief to completion, including programming the code behind, assembling the electronics and effectively communicating the functions for successful delivery.
The role will be for a 40 hour working week with flexi-time.
We would like to hear from you if you have experience and/or a passion in
- Programming microcontrollers (C#/C++)
- Electronic design & principles
- Iot devices & communication methods
- Unity
- Debugging & tweaking both physical systems & software
- Creative problem solving
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Enjoy puzzles, immersive experiences and/or video games
- A self starter, with great initiative who can see projects through from idea to completion
- A creative problem solver who can think both logically and creatively
- Become part of a dynamic, young and ambitious team
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum 3 months relevant experience required (including co-op/internship)
Studying a relevant degree at University or equivalent
Position:
Full-time & part-time positions available. Sheffield base, plus visiting other sites
Salary:
A competitive salary available for experienced candidates.

- FULL TIME SUPERVISOR IN SHEFFIELD
- FULL TIME SUPERVISOR IN LEEDS
If you didn’t already know, we are an independent escape room, bar and kitchen, right in the centre of Sheffield and Sheffield. We currently have a few positions for a Supervisor and these team members will be key holders and support the management team to ensure we maintain a high quality of service and experience! So if you have a flare for customer service…from greeting the guests at the door…to slapping them with a knife and can oversee our venue…maybe this is the role for you!

- PART TIME & FULL TIME GAMES MASTERS IN LEEDS
If you didn’t already know, we are an independent escape room, bar and kitchen, right in the centre of Leeds and Sheffield. We currently have a couple part-time positions for Games Masters (what a talking point for the CV!) and are looking for people that have a flare for customer service… From greeting the guests at the door… To slapping them with a knife!
