Sheffield's newest horror escape room!

Escape room titans The Great Escape Game, have brought a new fully-immersive horror game to Sheffield following the success of Abducted, Yorkshire’s only 18+ escape game. Promising to thrill new players and evoke players nightmares, fears, and terror of the unknown.

Aptly named The Devil’s Playground, the horror escape game experience has been petrifying corporate team building groups, stags, hens, and families inside it’s St James House location in an award-winning fashion.

Described as a cross between, The Crystal Maze, Fort Boyard, and Prison Break, it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted.

The Devil’s Playground puts you in the position of a victim of the Devil as he takes possession of your body. You must work together to outsmart the Devil’s torments, traps, and trickery as you play a game for the ultimate price – the game of sacrifice.

The company who recently re-released their award-winning escape rooms Homicide and Alcatraz – sequels to the murder mystery and prison break games – as part of a £12,000 redevelopment plan to their Generation One site located in Sheffield City Centre, are voted no.1 for fun and games on TripAdvisor due to their dedication to the fully immersive experience.

Krissie Akrill, Marketing Manager, warns people to expect a high pressured, tense and fearful atmosphere, although you will, of course, have a lot of fun – if you make it out alive.

“Customers pay from £16 per person, for a hellish alternative reality. They can enjoy a gourmet pizza, made by the devil himself inside Hell’s Pizza Emporium, as well as a Devilish Hot Pornstar Martini.”

Aaron Giles, Creative Developer, explains “What we’ve created is a full immersion movie-like experience, so instead of playing a computer game or sitting in the cinema watching a horror movie, you come to The Great Escape Game,”.

“At the end of the hour, The Devil will either leave your body or claim your soul. What he does with it, nobody knows… Yet.”

The Devil’s Playground is open in Sheffield and Leeds now and up to 5 players can participate in each game at any one time. If you’re brave enough to take on the mission, to book click HERE.
